FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
-
How does using Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay protect my payment information?
When you pay with a digital wallet, the merchant receives a transaction-specific code to process your payment. Because that code can only be used once, your accounts are better protected against fraud.
Your name, card number and security code stay private. You don’t give your physical card to anyone, and the digital wallet provider doesn’t share your actual card numbers with retailers.
-
Can I load my Spirit of Alaska credit card into a digital wallet?
No, at this time Spirit of Alaska is only supporting debit card use in digital wallets.
-
Do I still earn uChoose Rewards points when I pay through my digital wallet?
Yes, your transactions earn uChoose Rewards points just as they do when you use a physical card at checkout.
-
Why doesn't the displayed image on my digital wallet look like my actual card?
Your chosen digital wallet vendor displays a default image to represent your Spirit of Alaska debit card. The image may not match your card’s design exactly, but will include the Spirit of Alaska logo.
-
Will I still need to sign a receipt when I make a digital wallet purchase?
For most purchases, signing a receipt will not be required. Depending on the store and the dollar amount of the purchase, you may be asked to sign a receipt at the discretion of each retailer.
-
Do I still need to carry my debit card after I enroll in a digital wallet?
We recommend continuing to carry your card with you. Though acceptance is growing, there are still many places that do not accept digital wallet payments, and you will need your physical card at those stores.
