You can withdraw any earnings at any time, but there are penalties involved for early withdrawal of the certificate principal.
Can I use a certificate as my share in the credit union?
No, certificates do not qualify as a share in the credit union. However, you can place your money in a Money Market Savings account to act as your share, which can earn higher interest for higher balances.
What terms are available?
Terms vary from 3 months to 5 years. You will earn higher interest the longer you set aside the money.
Can I access the earnings from my certificate?
Yes. You can transfer your earnings to a Spirit of Alaska checking or savings account, or they can automatically be mailed to you every month.

What you will need depends on the structure of your business. In general, to open an account you will need to bring in:
