Job Summary:

Receive and process member transactions both in person and by mail. Maintain computer files and Laserfiche files when necessary to keep accurate records. Train new Member Service Representatives as needed. Fill in for managers and other staff as needed. Do special projects as assigned. Cross sell multiple financial services to members and potential new members. Assist members in choosing the services best for them.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial institution and previous supervisory experience.
  • Cross-trained and proficient in areas such as Fedline, Client Central, ITM -ATM/Share Drafts; or comparable experience or education.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in fast paced environment.
  • Be able to interact effectively with members, potential members, and employees. This position requires a person that is not only flexible, but tolerant of all situations. This person must be able to function under stress and, at the same time, maintain a positive attitude.

Job Duties:

  1. Perform regular Member Service Representative duties as required.
    • Receive and process all member transactions accurately and quickly.
    • New account processing: personal, business, trusts, and estate.
    • Maintain accurate computer records on accounts.
    • Balance work daily.
    • Assist members with their research and maintenance requests.
    • Cross-sell credit union services.
  1. Fill in for managers and other staff as needed.
    • Cross-train as needed to gain the necessary skills to fill in effectively.
    • Work directly with the Branch Manager to plan, implement, and carry out branch daily/monthly tasks.
    • Assist the Branch Manager:
    • With complex member services such as IRAs, shared branching and sending EOD cash letters.
    • Staffing the branches properly through effective scheduling.
    • Supplying the branches with money and supplies.
    • Performing monthly alarm certifications and surprise cash audits.
    • Providing feedback for employee performance reviews as appropriate in a timely manner.
    • Administering discipline as needed in a timely manner.
    • In developing and maintaining a consistent training program for the MSR’s.
    • In maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
  1. Maintain up to date information on rates and terms of the accounts the credit union offers.
  2. Balance the vault and make vault entries.
  3. Balance the ATM/ITM as needed.
  4. Train new MSR’s.
  5. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
