Spirit of Alaska FCU Receives Philanthropy Award

Spirit of Alaska FCU is honored to receive the 2021 Outstanding Small Business in Philanthropy Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Alaska Chapter. The AFP will be presenting the award on November 19th during an online award presentation over Zoom.

Outstanding Small Business in Philanthropy

Criteria:

This award honors an Alaska business with fewer than 100 employees that demonstrates outstanding commitment through financial support and civic involvement. They encourage and motivate employees and other businesses to participate in philanthropy and community. Nominations will be considered based on the responses to the following criteria:

  • Evidence of significant and wide-spread philanthropic support of non-profits in Alaska through financial, in-kind and volunteer support. (0-45 points)
  • Description of the impact of support and achievements accomplished through the business’ philanthropic efforts. (0-35 points)
  • Evidence of encouragement and motivation given to employees and others in the small business sector to actively participate in philanthropy and community involvement. (0-20 points)
