For 11 years, Spirit of Alaska’s relationship with the Yukon Quest has been running strong. We are proud to support this amazing local race that exemplifies the Alaskan Spirit! Printing the “Chute” Banners
In 2016, Spirit of Alaska offered to print the vinyl sponsor recognition banners that line the starting and finish line chute. We have continued to offset printing costs for the race every year since.
Prestige Program Insiders
In 2016, the Yukon Quest began to offer exclusive experiences for our Prestige Program members during years the Quest starts in Fairbanks.
VIP Passes behind the Start Line
For the 2016 and 2018 starts in Fairbanks, winners of a VIP Pass drawing have gone “behind the scenes” of the start line to experience the excitement of the dogs and the preparation of the mushers before the race begins.

Prestige Quest Guest – Jan Hanscom
The first Prestige Quest Guest winner was member Jan Hanscom in 2018. Jan had the opportunity to have lunch with a rookie musher, then bundle up and ride in the musher’s sled for the first 1.5 miles of the race, with her name announced over the loudspeaker!
Jan kept in contact with the musher, and a new friendship was built.
